Unreached People Groups
Today’s group for NMI’s prayer emphasis for unreached people groups from the Joshua Project* is:
Fulani, Toroobe of Nigeria
The Fulani are nomadic peoples whose livelihood is primarily that of herders and traders. They have been influential in regional politics, economics, and histories throughout western Africa for more than a thousand years. They number approximately 7.8 million, live in Nigeria, and about five percent are Christian. Please pray for the Fulani people, that God will make his love and saving grace real to them and that they will accept it fully.
*The Joshua Project is a research initiative seeking to highlight the ethnic people groups with the least followers of Jesus Christ.

NMI STANDING REQUESTS

Horn of Africa Famine

NMI is adding the tragic situation of famine in the Horn of Africa to our standing prayer requests. Thousands of people have died, and more than 12 million more are in serious need of food aid. Please pray daily for God to provide help for those in the countries of Somalia, Kenya, Ethiopia, and Djibouti. Pray that God will send rain. Pray that people will give generously. Pray that leadership will be equipped to serve the community. Pray that grieving hearts will be comforted and that many will find Christ.

Workers for the Harvest
Scripture tells us in Luke 10:2, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” There is a great need for people to hear and respond to God’s call to missions and ministry. Pray with NMI that the Lord will supply workers for the harvest.

Please pray for the ministry and safety of general superintendents traveling this month:
Dr. Jerry Porter
Dr. Jesse Middendorf
Dr. J.K. Warrick
Dr. Eugenio Duarte
Dr. David Graves
