On August 24, Engage magazine, at (engagemagazine.nazarene.org), launched a new mission series called “Mission Essentials.” Running for the next eight months, this series features voices from all six denominational regions in an ongoing conversation about the theology, tradition, and doctrine that underpin our Nazarene understanding and practice of missions in the 21st century. Every week a new topic will be addressed through essays, reflections, and articles. Topics include “Who is a missionary?” and “How do we define cross-cultural?” as well as “Called: How do you know?” The articles in the series can be identified by the Mission Essentials logo. Many of the articles will include discussion questions and additional resources, making the series useful for mission education in your local church. If you’d like to receive Engage as an e-mail newsletter once a month, sign up at the Web site: engagemagazine.nazarene.org.
